NYC, Independence Day 2007

I was eating pizza with Will, looking at a picture of the Brooklyn Bridge. When I told him that was where I grew up, he gently asked, "Daddy, will you take me there some day?" For Independence Day, I fulfilled my promise. We stayed with Laurie and Mac and their 6-month-old, Becca. The City has revitalized immeasurably in the last decade. A subway ride with Laurie and Mac to the American Museum of Natural History (also reinvigorated with the then-recent movie Night at the Museum)
Sightseeing around Battery Park and an hour's cruise around lower Manhattan
My first-ever trip to Yankee Stadium to watch the Bronx Bombers knock the stuffing out of the Angels - and to buy Will his first Cracker Jacks
Lunch with my cousins the Supcoffs, and several rides on the Bryant Park carousel
