John Williams gave it to him: a style taken from... an opera written back in 1869! It resulted in one of the most popular – and important – film scores ever composed. Come munch on some popcorn and learn from Dr. Palestrant, Professor of Music Composition and Theory at Elizabeth City State University, specific connections he has found between movie scores and Romantic-era music, the power of that music, and the effect it has on the movie viewer.
